Lesbianism epidemic in the land

In Nigeria, with progress being made, at long last, on the gay bills, the barons being the business are understandably livid.  For weeks, columnists on the Punch newspapers wrote tirades upon tirades against Senator David Mark, honourable president of the Senate.  But it’s a matter of time.  They would tire out and report back to their sponsors, that they have done their barking.  I personally don’t expect somebody like David Mark to be perturbed.

The homosexual advocacy gang has a simple game plan, and how tenaciously they stick to it!  It’s simply to invade the land with talks and shows about homosexuality, never really promoting it, but showing that society is rotten enough to embrace it.  In Ghana, pro-gay ministerial nominee Nana  Lithur insists she will do no more than give homosexuals their ‘fundamental human right’ guaranteed in the constitution.  In the US homosexuality is compared with the blacks fighting for basic human rights.  But since Obama made his great coming-out during the campaigns which saw massive homosexual funds coming in, which eventually won him the presidency, is anyone surprised at his recent posture?  More should be expected!  Lou Giglio, the pastor that was earlier scheduled to give the charge at the swearing in was found to have, 20 years ago, called homosexuality a sin, just like adultery is.  Worse he went on to declare that the  “only way out of a homosexual lifestyle … is through the healing power of Jesus.”  For all these point-blank heresies, Lou Giglio was disinvited from the presidential inauguration.  Even though for the past 15 years he had tried not to antagonize the homosexual advocates, claiming that subject is no longer high on his list of priority.  But that’s too late – the vicious gay advocates would have none of that, particularly as they need to serve a clear warning to other current incorruptible Bible-thumpers! (see http://www.albertmohler.com/2013/01/10/the-giglio-imbroglio-the-public-inauguration-of-a-new-moral-mccarthyism/)  In the meantime, people like Rick Warren who danced around to accommodate Obama last election are suddenly toxic persona non grata.

 The train has moved on.

Here in our land, denied of such opportunities of open advocacy, the desperate homosexual chieftains are far from throwing in the towel.  We’ve heard about cultists forcing girls to play lesbians with themselves, no doubt to stimulate the passion in them.  The last time on a Ghana tv, we saw ladies in a prolooonged scene, amorously cooing, and touching and fondling their bodies supposedly acting lesbianism. How else are real sexual passions aroused?  And to imagine how much time such a scene would have had to be rehearsed before the final filming.  The surprise would be that none of those young actresses tried out lesbianism in real life, after the filming.

It’s really sad to note that it’s not just at cinemas or even on home videos that one is compelled to watch pornography and homosexuality, now the regular TV channels have also been dragged in.  The home video in Nigeria has even taken the game to higher levels still.  One recent release has  the explicit title “Lesbian”.  There is no need to watch any preview  as the pictures on the posters explicitly tell the story of what to expect. It is nothing short of pornography!  Presumably, the people behind it will claim they are only “exposing” indecent acts practiced in secret! What baloney! This is homosexual advocacy at its most poisonous!

As we have always maintained, the real danger is homosexual advocacy, not so much homosexuality itself.  If anyone practices homosexuality in their rooms, that’s their cup of tea, as long as they leave the rest of us out of it.  And if they insist on telling us how nice a time they are having in their unnatural acts, then they should allow other people, especially ex-homosexuals, to also publicly share their harrowing experiences!  In the meantime, I like to call on decent people in Nollywood to produce films where ex-homosexuals also share their story.  But please keep the sex scenes out in any case.

And talking about films, we’ve come a really long way!
The hero of course gets to passionately kiss his girlfriend at the close of the action-soaked film.  Passionate full-lips kissing, probably in the semi-nude.  Afterall this is big budget film, and there is a big story to tell.  The only problem is that throughout the body of the film, all the bullets and knife wounds inflicted on the hero while on his heroic mission to save the girl were FAKE.  The only real thing in the film is one man passionately kissing another man’s wife while the rest of us erupt in wild applause and foolish excitement. Even when we all know for sure it’s all acting.

Dave Hunt gone to be with the Lord April 5, 2013

The following is from The Berean Call Newsletter dated April 5, 2013.  http://www.thebereancall.org/

Born in 1926, David Charles Haddon Hunt enjoyed the advantages of a godly upbringing and placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord in his early teens.

As a young man, he served in the military toward the end of World War II. Afterward, he attended UCLA and received a degree in mathematics. It was during that time that he met the love of his life, Ruth Klassen. In 1950, they were married, and since both loved the outdoors, they enjoyed a beautiful honeymoon hiking in the High Sierras--perfect for two young people madly in love and with very little money to their name. Marriage was soon followed by the birth of two sons and two daughters. Ruth was a busy mother and also a gifted writer herself. She had a tremendous interest in and knowledge of history, an ability that would help Dave further down the road. Dave's own career path led him into a position as a CPA/management consultant and later as the manager of several corporations.

Along with church-related activities, Dave initiated and became involved in numerous campus ministries and meetings in their home, with a special outreach to Jewish young people and foreign students. Many of these have stayed in touch with Dave and Ruth through the years, fondly recalling those Bible studies at the Hunts' house.

Dave and Ruth also traveled abroad, spending time in various locations throughout Europe, meeting with believers there and ministering in many ways while raising their own family. Dave also brought Bibles and other materials into the Soviet Union during a time when it was very difficult to do so. Throughout his later years, he and Ruth traveled extensively as he was invited to speak in churches and fellowships, large and small, all over the world. Often they stayed in people's homes, dining with them, learning their customs, and sharing God's Word and God's love.

The desire of Dave's heart was ultimately to be involved in fulltime ministry, especially since he saw firsthand everywhere he went the breaking down of the true church as the world began to work its way into her midst. He began to write in 1973, warning believers about the incursion into Western culture and into the church itself of Eastern religion, psychological and selfist philosophies, ecumenism, and other unbiblical teachings.

The ministry of The Berean Call was founded by Dave in 1992. It grew out of a previous organization, of which Dave was also a founding member since 1986. With T.A. McMahon working alongside him at The Berean Call, Dave was able to share his love for and defense of Christ in the subsequent newsletters, books, videos, and speaking engagements that resulted from this ministry. Dave and T.A. wrote three books together, including the best-known The Seduction of Christianity, which was groundbreaking in its boldness, exposing false teachings in the church and daring to identify the names of the ones behind the deception.

By the early 2000s, Dave's love for Christ and his desire to defend the name of the Lord had grown even stronger, and his concern over Islamic politics and religion are reflected in many of his articles, lectures, books, and interviews.

Then Richard Dawkins and the "new atheists" came onto the scene with a vengeance, seeking to destroy the very concept of God in the minds of everyone. Dave began to write and teach and speak more passionately than ever about the absolute truth that is in the Word of God and our need to immerse ourselves in it daily in order to prevent being taken up in the evolutionist delusion that is sweeping the world.

One of Dave's favorite activities was to see whom God would seat next to him on airplanes as he traveled and spoke. He often said that he "could prove the existence of God" just by these providential occurrences. While writing about Islam, he would end up seated next to a Muslim who didn't really understand what Islam was about but was eager to hear the difference between the Bible and the Qur'an. When writing about creation vs. evolution, the Lord would bring him, as a seat companion, an atheistic scientist who thought he had all the answers and was very surprised that there was another verifiable explanation to this universe.

Dave's bold yet loving approach to any situation allowed him entrance into these conversations where many others would have been shut out. His love for Jesus, for Israel, and for people in general was obvious to all. His enthusiasm for the truth, along with his anger over the sin and wickedness that he knew was robbing people of what God wanted for them, flamed his desire to share the Lord with anyone with whom he had contact.

At least 4 million copies of his books have been sold, many of them translated into more than 50 languages. They include: The Cult Explosion; The God Makers (with Ed Decker); The Seduction of Christianity (with T.A. McMahon); Global Peace and the Rise of Antichrist; Peace, Prosperity, and the Coming Holocaust; The New Spirituality (with T.A. McMahon); Whatever Happened to Heaven?; Occult Invasion; A Woman Rides the Beast; A Cup of Trembling; In Defense of the Faith; An Urgent Call to a Serious FaithTo Russia with Love (with Hans Kristian); What Love Is This?; Countdown to the Second Coming; Seeking and Finding God; Honest Doubts; Judgment Day!: Islam, Israel, and the Nations; Yoga and the Body of Christ; and his final book, Cosmos, Creator, and Human Destiny.

He also wrote two novels, The Mind Invaders (formerly The Archon Conspiracy) and Sanctuary of the Chosen, along with a children's book called The Money Tree, illustrated by his daughter Karen.

This is by no means a complete listing of all of Dave's works. One of his videos, Israel, Islam & Armageddon, has become a tremendous tool for churches and for anyone interested in helping to spread the truth about events prior to and since the attack on the World Trade Center. His video A Woman Rides the Beast is a favorite among those who are witnessing to Catholics, a group for whom Dave had a deep love and sorrow, desiring to see them come to the knowledge of the truth.

Dave Hunt's own drive to find and then deliver the truth is evident in everything he did. His impeccable research and recognized scholarship were based on in-depth studies of original documents and publications, interviews with key experts from around the world, and extensive travel-including to South America, Australia, Europe, India, and throughout the Middle East.

Dave has left us a legacy of inestimable value. We are blessed to be able to see and hear and read what he has taught about the evidence for God in a breathtaking number of materials. From explaining about the history of Christianity, to exposing the deception that has crept into the church, to teaching about the prophecies that are being fulfilled even today, this humble, brilliant man will go on teaching us for a very long time. We look forward to the day when we will see him again.

Note:

There are no public services scheduled at this time.  There will be a time to remember Dave at our conference this summer, August 23-24 in Bend, OR.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Ruth requests that we rejoice with her that Dave is now with his Savior.

Catholics pull out of CAN at ‘national level’ – complain of cozy relationships and aircraft

In a very surprising move, the leadership of the catholic church in Nigeria recently announced they were pulling out of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).  No one doubted that high level politics are involved in CAN operations, but it wasn’t expected to be taken so far.   For most of its existence, the catholics have had controlling influence in CAN affairs, until edged out by current president Ayo Oristajefor at the national election in July 2010.  The pull-out gets even more confusing as the Catholics corrected the earlier announcement, by declaring they are pulling out of CAN only at the ‘national level’, and not from the states where catholics remain mostly in control.( http://www.punchng.com/news/catholic-denies-pulling-out-of-can/).   Looks like a case of wanting to eat your cake and simultaneously keeping it!
Catholic leadership apparently complained about relationship between CAN and the Presidency as being too cosy.  That’s strange, because all over the years, CAN has always been seen as merely the political wing of Christianity in Nigeria.  Which was why Northern Christians drafted in then PFN president Ayo Oritsajefor to come lead the CAN and put a little more bite into its activity. But then and now, since CAN is not a labour union, it could not be faulted as being too close to government.  Especially with Pastor Oritsajefor being kinsman to President Jonathan, it should be clear that CAN has nothing to lose if relationship between the two is cosy.
Supposedly, what broke the back of the camel in the Catholic-CAN relationship is the recent acquisition of a private jet by CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsajefor.  Scores of critical sermons have been delivered, particularly over the airwaves, by preachers who kept reminding us that the Lord Jesus never used more than boat transport (and a donkey on one occasion) throughout his 3 years of ministry in Galilee and Judea.  Pastors who use private jets are therefore vain show-offs!
Like I was puzzled at the MTN promo, offering an aeroplane as the star prize, I still don’t understand how an individual can acquire a private jet just for show-off.  If not for the talks on the pages of newspapers, unlike a flamboyant car or even a helicopter, no one sees the big man enter or alight from the jet.  Nor can he park it at his compound for neighbours to admire and ogle!  A private individual who buys a private jet for vainglory must indeed be crazy, and will soon be restored to reality by the maintenance cost!  More importantly, he needs media attention to actualize that crazy dream of getting people to know about his ‘new status’.
But if I as an individual have regular worthwhile business in over a dozen locations scattered all over the world, that requires my being on the move every week, round the year; it would be crazy if for fear of what critics would say, I refuse to acquire a private jet which I can easily afford, and insist on struggling to fit my schedules into those of commercial airlines – spending more time in-between connections than actual air travel!  The other alternative would be to charter the plane at far more exorbitant costs, just to please some unthinking critical crowd.
Afterall, a man would not be expected to use donkey for a trip that requires air travel.  Whether the plane used is owned by the individual, a charter company, or an airliner can only be a matter of cost and common-sense, I insist.
